Online Services

We have now set up an online service that allows you to ask an administration query (i.e; chase a referral, ask about recent tests, request a medical sickness certificate etc), contact us about a new or ongoing medical issue or view advice and guidance on conditions, symptoms and treatments.

Follow this link to access this online service - click here

GP online services allow you to access a range of services via your computer, mobile or tablet. Once you have signed up, you will be able to:

  • book or cancel appointments online
  • renew or order repeat prescriptions online
  • view parts of your GP record, including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results

You can still contact the practice by phone or in person, this is just another option, which other patients have found is more convenient and saves them time. More information including “how to” leaflets and videos of patients and why they are using GP online services are available at www.nhs.uk/gponlineservices

How to sign-up

For more information, please contact reception or next time you visit the surgery, bring with you a piece of photo ID (passport, driving licence) and something with your address on like a bank statement but not a gas or electric bill. If you don’t have these, please talk to us and we will help you sign-up

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

From 1st April 2022, Burscough Family Practice will manage patient prescription requests back within the GP Surgery.  You will no longer call the Prescription Ordering Department to order your prescriptions.  Ideally we would like any requests for repeat prescriptions or acute medications to be completed either online, via email or by handing the "green slip" into the Surgery.  We will aim to issue prescriptions within a maximum of 72 hours.

We do have a dedicated Prescription Query Telephone Line which is open between 10am and 12pm & 4pm and 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).  Please call 01704 776099

We understand that not everybody has access to order online or may find it difficult to visit the practice so please give our receptionists a call, and we will discuss the options that may be available to you.
