When We Are Closed

out_of_hoursNHS 111 is a free-to-call, non-emergency medical helpline, available for urgent health care assessment. If you are unsure which health care service you need to visit, the NHS 111 service will signpost you to the most appropriate care for your condition, which could be your GP, local pharmacy or walk-in centre. It could also be the emergency department or an emergency ambulance if required.

Other ways to contact NHS 111 are as follows:

  • Text relay

Call 18001 111 using text relay, 24 hours a day.

  • British sign language (BSL)

    Use signvideo.co.uk/nhs111

  • Help in other languages

Call 111 and ask for an interpreter.

Available 24 hours a day, the NHS 111 service is intended for urgent but not life-threatening health issues.

If you do not need to be seen by a healthcare professional, self-care at home advice will be given by one of our clinically trained advisors.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

* please note there will be no GP available from 12:30 on the following dates for staff training:
